Humility : Drift is an improvised dance project taught to people by the landscape of Richmond Beach Saltwater Park in Shoreline, Washington. Currently, dancers are collaborating with a scientific illustrator to create naturalist ID cards that will serve as STEAM teaching tools. One side of the card will depict a beach organism, and the other side will include movement prompts developed from dance research engaging with that organism. Humility : Drift encourages empathy and intuition as tools to help build reciprocal relationships with our surrounding ecosystems.
In 2021, this project was supported by the City of Shoreline Arts Cottage Artist in Residence program and a King County Open 4Culture Grant. In 2023–2024, this project is supported in part by a King County 4Culture Artist Grant.
